Well I've just watched this film, with having it referenced more than once to me! I'm glad I've finally watched it! Great acting by De Niro! Was truly stunning in every way. I also enjoyed the cold shoulder he produced in some 1on1 scenes! Can't believe how young Jodie foster is in this too. Great little actress. I can see why this film is so highly rated, but it's highly rated as a top 10 by an older generation. Which is fine, but me at the age of 22, I did find the prolonged panned angled with backing jazz track a little boring at times. None the less, it's still a great film. Ending scene left it with a positive close!
