I was scrolling through netflix when i came across this film and following a bit of a statham marathon watching greats such as bank job and homefront, i thought i would give it a go. I can quite honestly say that this is one film that i could not finish which is a very rare club to be in as i like to give films the chance to offer something by watching the whole thing. I lasted about 25 minutes before i had enough. Statham really is a one genre film kindnof actor and when based in medieval times with the husky hard man voice, with no apparent attempt to speak in old english i can see why it had auch bad reviews and a single star rating on netflix
Christopher Nolan along with the support of his brother Jonathan succeeding in modernising and brilliant a new twist on the batman enterprise. With many of the previous attempts being more comical than action. The brothers really made a masterpiece of this. Heath Ledgers final bow was a true entertaining experience with the methodocical psychopatch perfected to a "t". The storyline kept me gripped and i have watched this films on dozens of occasions and never find myself disappointed. A job well done.
I have never been a big fan of mr connery, with the disappointment of the league of extraordinary gerntlemen. However his performance as novelist william forrester was excellent viewing. Helping a youg man jamal wallace the aspiring basketball player a way to fulfill his sporting and academical potential. A good performance from ludicrous has jamals brother helps with the performance. The film offers a real feel good factor in helping portray the message that with the right support youth can do great things.
